Computers can be networked over powerline by using the HomePlug. Use HomePlug for Ethernet-enabled computers. The HomePlug is also ideal for any user who already has a router and wants to share high-speed Internet access across the powerline network.
Connect HomePlug to the router after you have configured it using the Security Configuration Utility. Connect a straight-through UTP Category 5 cable to the uplink port of the router, or connect crossover UTP Category 5 cable to a LAN port on the router.
